My name is Andrés, owner of SoccerSportZone.com. Soccer has been an essential part of my life. I started playing at 7 years old and became serious about becoming a professional player at 13. I played for U20 Millonarios F.C academy, collegiate soccer at NCAA D2 school Lubbock Christian University, and several semi-professional soccer teams in the US such as Lubbock Matadors, Lansing United FC, Joplin Demize, Corinthians FC of San Antonio in the NPSL league. I was also invited to participate at Path2Pro Soccer Combine in 2018, allowing me to be scouted by professional soccer clubs in the United States and worldwide. Just like many, the dream of becoming a professional soccer player didn't happen. However, my soccer "career" helped me grow not just soccer skills, but also develop the right mentality for my whole life. Nowadays, I write about soccer on SoccerSportZone.com and do individual coaching to a kid of a friend on the side when I have time from my regular job as a Software Engineer.
